Question Answered
How can I tell if I need to replace my existing bulb? Asked by Chris S. On Sep 16, 2019
There are three ways to tell if you need to replace your lamp: 1. You get a warning/indication message on the screen 2. The 'lamp' light on the projector is red 3. The image is dim or fading You can also check the number of hours on the lamp counter, found through the menu command. If the number of hours exceeds 2,000, it might be time for a new lamp.
Answered by MyProjectorLamps On Sep 16, 2019Also, if your lamp has blown in your projector and you can tell if this happens if you hear a popping noise. Then check inside your projector and see if the bulb has shattered, if it has shattered, then it's time to replace it.
